We need a line locator assistant to start ASAP.
Position is permanent, and as full time as possible – it is mostly oilfield related.
Having a class 3 or 1 is a major bonus and any heavy equipment experience is another added bonus.
Any farm experience is a great addition as well.
Must be able to work with others as well as alone. Take direction easily and have a willingness to learn.
The positions would intertwine between locating/pipelining/farming, but the locator assistant would be the main position.
There may be times when assisting in our Environmental department may be required as well.
Having H2S and first aid is a must (and easily obtained), and additional courses would be needed along the way. Fire proof clothing must be worn at all times in the oilfield.
Depending upon the work situation, it may require overnights away from home from time to time.
Starting wage would be dependent upon the experiences and courses held and would be a topic of discussion if chosen for an interview.
Generally, most days start very early. Must have reliable transportation and at least clean class 5.
Our office is in a rural setting, so you need to get to office to begin each day. We are approximately half hour from Killam, Camrose and Viking and 40 from Vegreville.
This is not a 9-5 job. Must be physically fit as job does require walking distances.
