Snow Maker

Snow makers must be prepared to be outside in all weather conditions and be dressed appropriately. You are responsible for supplying your own cold weather gear.
You are responsible for (but not limited to):
- starting up, shutting down and checking on snowmaking equipment (snow guns),
- placing snow guns and hoses on the hill, rolling out and up hoses, rolling out electrical cords.
- maintaining snow gun operation efficiency, and checking snow quality
- operating high voltage equipment and high pressure water systems using appropriate safety precautions. Checking pressure, river pump, water well. Checking temperatures.
- Completing check list for snow guns and other equipment being utilized for snow making.
Candidates should have some basic knowledge of machinery. Snow makers must be able to drive a snowmobile. Shifts would be day, evening, or night shifts for the duration of snowmaking. These Shifts are 8 am – 4 pm; 4pm-midnight; midnight – 8 am.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Conduct PM’s, CM’s, troubleshooting and repairs as assigned on work orders to manufacturer’s specifications as a minimum.
- Maintain assets in a safe, reliable operating condition
- Set up and oversee a maintenance schedule for district equipment (trailers, skid steer, vac unit, generators, UTV’s, small engines etc.)
- Stay current with equipment changes and advancements
- Housekeeping – we believe in keeping the sites we’re responsible for looking as if they were brand new. Responsibility to clean up and take pride in the way our facilities look.
- Assist with Measurement as needed or assigned – meter proving, third party witnessing and ticketing.

Education, Skills & Experience
