The Village of Bawlf is accepting applications for a Public Works Foreman. This position reports the Chief Administrative Officer. The hours of work are generally 8 am to 4 pm, but can shift depending on snow fall or emergency call outs.
The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Operating the water treatment plant, sewer lift station, and lagoon.
Daily assessing, testing, and treating well water and water system.
Documenting meter readings at the water treatment plant and the sewer lift stations.
Supervising and coordinating public works projects.
Supervising junior staff. Snow removal.
Maintenance of all Village roadways and alleys.
Maintaining Village properties.
Operation of a skid steer.
The qualifications required include:
Valid Class 5 Drivers License (a driver’s abstract will be required)
Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety Procedures.
A clean criminal record check
Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and various Office applications.
Small Systems Water and Sewer Certification will be considered an asset.
If this certification has not been achieved, the course will be provided to the successful candidate.
